In this ongoing series, we’ve been blogging about some of the health issues involved with different stages of a man’s life (including the transition into adulthood and their middle years). Now, let’s examine the issues dealing with aging for men.
The second transition in a man’s life is into their middle years. Middle-age comes at different ages for each man, but usually occurs within their 40s.
At this point in life, a man is likely experiencing some changes in their body, due to lifestyle and genetics. They’ve experienced more bumps, bruises, crashes and falls, as well and may be noticing some pain around the hips, spine or joints, as a result of an active life in when they were younger. They might be less strong, or less powerful, or heavier, than when they were just a few years younger.
Men are notorious for taking their health for granted. Many men assume that if they look good, feel healthy and are strong, that they’re in good overall health. They tend to ignore symptoms of poor health and skip those annual doctor’s visits. But men have particular health issues that they should be mindful of, including issues related to injury and illness.
This month, we’re going to be examining issues of men’s health issues with a focus on how chiropractic care can help men feel better and more empowered with their health care choices. Keep reading!
