BEAUTIFUL IN RAPID CITY!

Rushmore Family Chiropractic was honored last month to receive the Beautification Award of June 2018 by the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce. Each month, the Ambassador Committee of the local chapter of the Chamber of Commerce presents this award to the local business that has made a significant improvement to the exterior of their existing building or landscape, increasing the visual beauty of our city.

On Wednesday, June 27th, the Ambassador Committee and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and several other local businesses came to Rushmore Family Chiropractic to watch as Dr. Ashley Kauffman and the entire Rushmore Family team received this prestigious award. Dr. Ashley’s husband Josh, a handyman who completed many of the repairs and upgrades to this 100+ year old building, was on hand to celebrate their success.

The building was constructed in the early 1900s and was originally a two-story residence. It was then converted to office spaces and, when Rushmore Family Chiropractic acquired the building, significant upgrades and modifications were made to the interior and exterior. New walls were constructed, front desk and ceilings were updated. Outside, the building was painted in cheerful tones of bluish-gray, white and bright red for the door, while new signage and landscaping gave the front of the property an attractive and welcoming look. In the back of the property, the Kauffman’s also had new paving installed for their patients’ convenience.

This historic building is located at 807 Columbus Street, just west of Mt. Rushmore Road. There are not one but two coffee shop/bagel restaurants just steps away (Black Hills Bagels and Caribou Coffee/Einstein Bagels). Convenient parking is located just behind our building as well in street parking out front. For the courtesy of our patients, a ramp leads from the front parking and walkway to our main door.

We were really honored to receive this award and feel very proud of our accomplishments in beautifying the building and being part of the thriving Rapid City business community. Thank you to our many friends and family who came on June 27th to support us and to celebrate. We have no idea who nominated us for this honor but we are privileged to receive it.

The Rapid City Chamber of Commerce commented on our Facebook page, “We cannot get over how beautiful your new facility is and look forward to presenting you with this award.” Thank you, Chamber of Commerce – we hope to be a part of keeping Rapid City beautiful, healthy and strong for many years to come!
