Neck Pain

Your neck is the most vulnerable part of your spine. Not only does it support your 10-12 pound head, maintain a forward curve and permit a variety of movements, it allows the free flow of nerve impulses to your entire body.  Other than discomfort and annoyance, chronic neck pain is a sign something is wrong.

There are a variety of causes of neck pain- watching your phone, using your computer, nursing and looking down at your precious baby or falling asleep in an odd position.  When this pain doesn’t resolve itself on its own in a short period of time you know it is time to make an appointment with your chiropractor.

The most common cause of neck pain is dysfunctional movements resulting is restrictions or improper movement of your vertebrae. These are seen in causes of reverse cervical curve (Text Neck), whiplash and joint instability.  Doctors of chiropractic are experts in diagnosing and finding the causes of dysfunction in your neck and restoring proper movement and decreasing pain.
